Minor scuffle at work today. Two lads on another table came to blows over something - no idea what.

For the most part, work's been fine since we went back after Christmas and New Year. Same shite, different day.

Still hate that fifteen minute uphill walk from the bus stop at the main road.

Yes work was busy before Christmas and when we returned on 2nd January.

Only in for two days last week as was using up some leave. Our leave year ends in January and normally you're not allowed to carry over more than 9 days.
One of the days I drove in and the other day as roads were icy I got a train instead.
Thankfully no snow where I live.
Nice to look at but after having hit black ice which I didn't see once several years ago I don't want to go there again.

I was thinking about that wee fight that happened the other week, and given the number of knives and pairs of scissors laying around, it's a miracle no blood was shed.

Anyway, the two lads in question got sent home, separately, just in case, suspended for a couple of days, and when they came back they had a wee chat with our nice HR lady.

Big Barry, the manager for the warehouse side of things, and overall second in command, had a word with us the following day after the fight. According to him, this is the first time in the 17 year history of the company that anything like that has happened.

Rumour is there's gonna be a few folk getting laid off in the near future.

Kind of hope that wee squad of neds gets the punt. With the exception of wee Declan (who's a nice lad, gets his head down and gets on with his work) they're a bunch of arseholes, and I'm baffled as to how they've lasted this long.

Frankly, the way these "friends" talk to him is shocking. I'm just waiting for the day when one of them says the wrong thing to him, at the wrong time, and he's gonna turn round and beat the living crap out of them.

Apparently some bigwig is coming down tomorrow for a nosey around and - GASP - an audit!

Not that I give a crap, I'm off tomorrow. Away my travels through to Embra for a show at the Festival Theatre.

It's nice to have a Friday off work.
Safe journey and enjoy the show.
I'm hoping to go to Edinburgh in May and have booked somewhere to stay so will book flights nearer the time.

I've got stuff planned and half planned for throughout the year.

Three weeks time I'm off to Aberdeen (where men are men and sheep are nervous) to see The Harlem Globetrotters.
