Any accountants on here? Or any recommendations for a good one. Looking for someone keen on helping me save money rather than parting me from it ;)

Deloitte & Touche are a reputable firm, however check the classifieds in the Evening Times always someone flogging their wares to earn a bit of pocket money.
I wonder if they put that through their books??
Oh, the humanity!

Deloitte & Touche ouch! reputable, yes no doubt but very pricey allegedly :)

Sharon I suggest contacting your local Business Gateway site or Glasgow Opportunties. They are good at advice on local, and often smaller and less expensive practices... and they might even offer a free initial advice session. Chamber of Commerce can help, but I suspect that whilst they won't try to 'sell' you anyone, they will at the very least only mention their own members. Main thing with any of these is getting as quick as you can by the wee boy or lassie (or auld codger) at the front desk/phone reception.

Any decent accountant will want to start with a "what exactly is the service you want/need" session i.e. do you just want them to balance up your two shoe boxes (one with invoices, the other with payments records) or do you want a whole accountancy advice service.

Lastly, you shouldn't recommend your own accountant to anyone: For the same reason not to recommend somewhere to go on holiday to a friend - if they have a terrible experience you will be left feeling guilty... and worse they may not forgive you.

Manage the building of big things, usually in Glasgow, many of of which are usually ripped to bits on HG (three of them mentioned so far that i have found), probably because thet are new and not exactly hidden.

Probably in about 20 years (approx. lifespan of todays modern buildings) HG followers will be exploring these eddifices ruins and championing their refurbishment. 8)

Can anybody guess the three buildings?

::): yes... Youd think that because we are living longer now we would want things to last a bit longer, but I suppose this is a throw away society , now we even throw buildings away

You better believe it i have been in the construction industry for 20 years and some of the buildings that i was involved in during the mid 1980's are gone.

The present projects i am involved in are "Fashionable and Stylish" but nowadays it is as much down to the Construction Management Team rather than the Developer or "Cappucino Effect" Architects to make sure that the buildings are durable.

Don't get me started.
