If you notice the "10" in the circle, I believe that means 10 buses every minute

They switch to the ten day service, only when you actually need one ::):

On the subject of busses ................

A neighbour of mine who drives for First Bus was recently on a (compulsory) course to learn how to drive 'bendi-busses' - it seems these are going to be introduced onto the streets in larger numbers, why I don't know but I do know - as anyone else will - that these contraptions take up far more road space than a double decker and are obviously more difficult to manoeuvre through junctions - and the resulting holding up of other vehicles - etc. I'd like to know why First Bus see a need for these and how the SPT and the other relevant transport agencies can justify allowing First Bus to do so.

Maybe some members can shed some light on this ?

I think it might have something to do with the new DDA legislation that just came into force last year, could be wrong tho. The best thing First Bus could do for us all is to stop employing so much scum!

Crusty

EDIT: No offence to your neighbour btw C'ptn, Im sure they're very nice. I have have an uncle (non-blood relative) who drives a First Bus too... he is scum tho

Sorry mate, the Disability Discrimination Act. The new legislation requires all public buildings, facilities and services. Everything from kerbs to castles and train stations to buses. So I presume because only the single deck buses are able to accomodate the floor space and lowerable deck for wheelchairs to embark and dis-embark the only way to ge enuff seats for bums is to lengthen the bus.

Tell wee Joe I... just tell him in fact  ::):

All I ask is they run to the timetable particularly when they are the last bus for an hour.
