Looking through other topics made me think about the bottled beers being sold by the newbie supermarkets and who actually brews them. Shepherd Neame in Kent used to brew a 99p beer for Lidl celebrating various events, such as Burns Night, Halloween and rugby tournaments, but they seem to have been superseded by Lidl's own 'Hatherwood Brewing company' which I assume is as genuine as M&S's Lochmuir fish brand. Any thoughts on who the real brewers are that contract brew Asda and Lidl's offerings? Some of them are not that bad at all, pity the real people that brew them hide behind a contract.
Was also shocked and stunned to discover that Newkie Broon is brewed in Holland now by Heinekin. Is nothing sacred
