When Music Was Music was a nostalgia show; you guys are nostalgic for nostagia!

Prior to his Radio Clyde days, Frank had a column in either the Daily Record or Evening Times, answering folks' legal questions, often with a bit of humour thrown in.

I remember once in his column he said he was clearing out his loft or shed, and if anyone wanted they could come and take away his collection of 78s: presumably he had no takers, hence the radio show.

Back in the good old days we used to call that nostalgia^2, but that was when nostalgia was nostalgia.

Thanks for that info re. Frank's newspaper column. Again, it's something I'd forgotten although now that you mention it it does ring bells.

Lots of great once-upon-a-time shows... Alex Dixon's Paperback Writer, Swinging Bill Smith retrospectives, Dr Dick's Clickety-Click, Steve Jones, The Laird o' Coocaddens, Pat Chang The Midnight Lady and of course the mighty Tiger Tim.

Sound Cloud has most of the golden age jingles. Radio Clyde 261 Altogether Now.
