The actual print and paper book I'm reading is "The Book Thieves" by Anders Rydell. A non-fiction book that tells the story of the Nazis' systematic pillaging of Europe's libraries and the small team of heroic librarians now working to return the stolen books to their rightful owners.

On the Kindle app on my phone, I'm reading "Scoundrels" by Duncan Crowe and James Peak. Being the memoirs of the disreputable, antagonistic and unreconstructed Majors Victor Cornwall and St. John Trevelyan.
Very similar in tone and humour to the Flashman novels of George MacDonald Fraser. Real laugh out loud funny stuff.

And having discovered a website where I can read comics for free, I'm about three quarters of the way through "AKIRA" by Katsuhiro Otomo, and issue three of "Saga" by Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples.

"The Lost Ten" by Harry Sidebottom.

Historical military fiction set in the 3rd century AD.

Marcus Aelius Valens, a junior officer in the Roman Army, must lead a crack squad of Legionaries deep into hostile territory on a mission to rescue an allied prisoner from the impregnable Castle of Silence.

As one by one his soldiers die or disappear, he begins to suspect that there's a traitor in their midst, and that the rescue is fast becoming a suicide mission.

In other words, it's "Bravo Two Zero" meets "Saving Private Ryan", with just a dash of "Where Eagles Dare".

"The Dispossessed" by Ursula K. Le Guin. Very deep and interesting, but very hard to read and understand, especially if you haven't read previous works from this cycle.
Also, I've been reading this https://sanitaryreview.com/category/how-to/ because I have sudden toilet repair and nobody's around to help me.

Comics wise, I'm working my way through "The Complete Peanuts" by Charles M. Schulz.

Currently on vol. 7 (of 26), which collects strips from 1963 to 1964.

Recently I have started "The Golden Gate" by Vikram Seth. The novel is very interesting. And how I was surprised when I found an online slot with the same title golden gate slot machine I was surprised because I am a real fan of slots.

I like to read books, which are written in essay style.

Not all writers can do that.

Just reading a book by Dyan Cannon, who I think married Cary Grant. It is called: Dear Cary - My Life with Cary Grant, by Dyan Cannon. I think she would be his fourth wife of five. Only at page 120 of 339. They aren't married yet. At this stage, she has just revealed a harrowing true story about what happened to him in his childhood. It is gripping - a really good book. So far he is a decent guy, according to her. I wonder if he turns out to be a rotter in the end. Going by what she has revealed so far, I don't think that will be the case.
