My current read is "Millenium People" by J.G Ballard, all about tension and uprising in an exclusive housing community Bought it when sitting at Heathrow waiting for my plane home and the first bit I read is all about a bomb in Heathrow, cracking reading hehe.
Wouldn't recommend it as yet, seems a bit too much like his previous book "High Rise", which itself was good.

I've just finished Metamorphosis by Kafka....read the Ballad of Reading Gaol by Oscar Wilde last night - both very dark - so this morning I am onto Still Life with Bottle by Ralph Steadman...
Emmar, I used to love Ballard - well still do, but I just havent enjoyed any of his recent stuff at all. I doubt he'll ever better High Ruse, Dworwned World and Concrete Island. All brilliant. Guess it must be hard to come up with new themes.....

I to have just finnished Paul Gascoignes autobiography. I hope that people who don't even like football or the man himself would still give it a go. You'll be surprised.

Readin' Bill Brysons Short History of Nearly Everything...s'brilliant.
Getting totally freaked out by how little anybody REALLY knows about anything. He keeps it pretty light so you're head doesn't hurt too much, and he uses analogies that help you just about grasp the concepts.
Worth a look anyways.

Aye, it's in the small pile of books to read I always seem to have, along with Robert Rankin's latest, a biography of Kitchener, and so many Boer War-related books I don't know where to start.
I wish I had someone else working on this project so I didn't have to read EVERYTHING about it.....
