Plodding through Siegfried Sassoon, Soldier, Poet, Lover Friend - Life in One Volume by Jean Moorcroft Wilson.
Obviously knew him from his war poems and his bravery in WWI but I can't say he comes over in this book as the most likeable of characters all the time.
He advocated for the weak against the strong, the poor against the rich and labour against capital.
