does anyone know and really dark areas north(ish) of the city that would be good for getting some photos? ive had a look on the dark sky site but most of the areas on there are a bit far away.
I usually head up to Rest and Be Thankful - good place and dark skies....

Did anyone else see a meteorite over Lesmahagow this morning? I was driving south on the M74 after 8a.m. and a very bright light with a long vapour trail moving at great speed from right to left over the road.It didn't seem very high as it was in my line of vision,I didn't need to raise my eyes, and was below the horizon about 500 feet in front of me.
