Postby The Egg Man » Tue Jul 23, 2013 1:35 pm

Due to a number of filming projects within the City Centre the following roads will be closed or restricted to facilitate the filming requirements.

Please note that the restrictions cover a full 15 days to allow for flexibility in filming schedules, however, the roads will not all be closed / suspended during the full duration. It is anticipated that the roads around Cadogan Street will be closed around 19:00hrs at night to 07:00hrs the following morning. Cochrane Street area will be closed during the days and reopen at nights. Broomielaw area will be closed during the night between 19:00hrs and 07:00hrs the following morning. Kings Bridge area will be closed between 09:30hrs and 16:30hrs each day.

Diversions will be signed on street. Traffic disruption and delays are likely and extra time in travelling should be considered, however, with the help of Police Scotland on point’s duty at some locations the traffic disruption will hopefully be reduced.

The filming team are making every effort to minimise the impact of the filming on businesses in the community. Experienced locations crew will deal with the complexities of filming in an urban environment and will work with the residents to address issues such as deliveries within the enclosure zones.

The street will be carefully marshalled by filming staff and by Police Scotland during filming hours. It is important to emphasise that pedestrian access to the streets will be maintained although routes may vary, and all businesses will remain open. However, if you need to walk through the area being seen by the camera, you may be asked to stop for a couple of minutes while filming commences. If necessary you will be redirected and can continue out of the filming sight line. Personnel will also be placed in doorways to co-ordinate movement in and out of buildings.
