I had the misfortune to meet him at a meeting last week, he's a smug arrogant toad.

Sorry I didn't explain very well. I should have asked if anyone knows the man and what he is like, is he worth the huge salary he gets paid?
At a meeting re the closure of Castlemilk Stress Centre, Mr Battye was a disgrace as an ambassador
for the CHCP. All through the meeting he did not even try to hide his boredom, arrogance and disregard.
Not just my opinion but of many many who attended the meeting.
We now wonder why he is in such a high profile job

Is that not just more of a wee rant? He's in the job because he has demonstrated he can handle it and all the shit it throws at him. It pays well because it's hard going and requires someone of a certain ability. What kind of candidate do you think you'd buy for less than his current salary?
