The fairly new flats at the bottom of my street had the gable wall sucked out. No idea what is happening to the folks who live there.

Scary, I grant you that it's not New Orleans - the cops didn't shoot any refugees from Rutherglen. But , the building at the bottom of Greystone is uninhabitable and some disabled folk will have to be rehoused elsewhere. Take a look at the photo in the BBC link if you don't believe me ?

VT, I do believe you, but its not like we are subject to these conditions year in year out or we would be able to take precautions, when was the last time you personally had to take precautions for fear of the errm small breeze ?

I have a relatively new (22 years) Marley tile roof and 4 of them got blown off through the night, but its hardly a crisis.

I'm definately on the slight breeze = big panic side of the fence especially in Glasgow. All those loose tiles/unrepaired neglected roofs and chimney pots. I have a permanent crick in my neck looking up
