My poor daughter is at this moment kissing the ground at Cairnryan after suffering an extremely rough sea crossing from Belfast on the super duper new Stena superfast(?) ferry which ran out of bottled water halfway through.

For the first time I am posting to the forum while I am actually in Glasgow

You've clearly never caught the Stranraer - Glasgow train the day before an Old Firm game. That's more or less all they do regardless of the weather.

Worst IoM crossing I ever had folk were puking in the bins. I hugged the toilet for three hours.

I don't know how you could stand that Jodie it's bad enough from Belfast to Stranraer never mind any further.
I was being funny (?) with my posts and I know you can't do anything to calm the Irish Sea but still why can't they ;
1. Make the crossing even faster?
2. Make it less expensive - it's a lot of money to pay to be sick on a rough crossing.
3. Build the feckin bridge!!!

Worst experience I had on a ferry was from Barra to Oban during a 10 force gale. An experience I hope never to repeat.

I went on that trip in May 1996 in glorious weather and it was a beautiful trip stayed in the Castlebay hotel.

well i went on the yoker /renfrew ferry once and it was quite uneventful.so there.

I don't do the ferry unless I have to, Bridie. I hate flying but I hate the ferry more. I recently found out there's such a thing as a force 11 so I'm probly never sailing again!
