Don't really know Chris..I just presumed it is a catepillar, I googled a bit and saw "woolly bear caterpillars" so might be that :)

Did you put it on a nice green wee patch of land or did you decide to let nature take it's course?

I was in a quandry about that, it would have taken all day for it to get across the path without being picked up by a bird first. I had a go at scooping it up, but nearly turned it into a snowball :cry: , so put it down again. I kind of prefer to let nature take its course though.

I used to keep a short hair exactly the same as that, I can't rememeber the actual name for the colourother than Ginger. Looks like Bagpuss :D
