Then I sat on the deck in the garden in the warm (?!) sunshine having a webcam chat with my mum, my cousin Steph and her best pal Andrew. I laughed that much I think the neighbours might of thought I was smoking something!! Steph told me how they took my 89 year old Grandpa out to a curry house for the first time in his life, and he hoovered down about half a ton of chicken korma & then declared he'd like to repeat the event once a month
After that I made chilli with lamb and smoked paprika and cumin and cinnamon and baked beans (branston ones), brown rice and a dod of half fat creme fraiche and poured myself a glass of red and sat on the deck reading for a couple of hours. Now sitting listening to bagpipes on Radio Scotland (yes the wine has DEFINITELY kicked in) and thinking how nice life is. LIfe is nice when you're not down in the dumps- the key to the situation is how NOT to be down in the dumps more often
