Bloody charity workers! Do they not keep office hours any more?
Had some dipshit from the Red Cross at the door touting for donations earlier. "I'm not as scary as I look." quoth he, looking like a good stiff breeze would blow him away.
"No thank you." says I, closing the door, firmly, and with a nice meaty sounding CLUNK, in his face.
I thought it was somebody important, my brother, or one of the neighbours. Not this knobend.

2 years ago on Boxing Day, I was sat down in my brothers front room, half way through dinner, when I noticed 2 faces peering & knocking on the window, followed by a loud and persistent knocking on the door, we thought it was the police, but no it was just 2 charitable chunts looking to cash in.

I think we need to start putting warning signs on our front doors.
"No Salesmen. No Charity Collectors after 5pm. No Holy Joes."

Stole this:-
Albert and Bernard have just became friends with Cheryl, and they want know when her birthday is.
Cheryl gives them a list of 10 possible dates.
May 15 May 16 May 19
June 17 June 18
July 14 July 16
August 14 August 15 August 17
Cheryl then tells Albert and Bernard separately the month and the day of her birth respectively.
Albert: I don’t know when Cheryl's birthday is, but I know that Bernard does not know either.
Bernard: At first I didn’t know when Cheryl’s birthday is, but I know now.
Albert: Then I also know when Cheryl’s birthday is.
So when is Cheryl’s birthday?

We normals have no chance.

One for the technically minded among you.
I was in Edinburgh at the weekend there for the Edinburgh Comic Con, staying in the EasyHotel at the far end of Princes Street. Had my laptop with me so I could check my emails and so forth.
So, I got it up and running and was online, but after a while it spontaneously shut itself down. Started it up again, eventually got back online, and after about twenty minutes it shut itself down again.
Any ideas as to the cause?

Was there ever a nightclub or similar in Glasgow called Bumpers?
This is related to an odd memory from my childhood - mid/late 70s.
Every summer, my folks, my brother and myself would go to North Berwick for a fortnight's holiday. Dad would drive on up the motorway, and we'd see this place called Bumpers as we drove through Glasgow.
Now, the thing was, the name Bumpers was spread across two awnings, and (being a kid with a dirty mind) I'd be sniggering away at seeing an awning over the place with the word BUM on it in large letters.

Apart from leaflets delivered by the Postie, has anyone had a phone-call, a canvasser at the door, seen ( or been to ) a public meeting re the General Election.
Unlike the Referendum, there's not much in the way of public involvement round here, Maryhill, which is now a marginal seat.

I live on the Isle of Bute and I've had two phone calls so far from SNP canvassers. Their campaigning is going hell for leather here. Politely declined to answer their questions anyway. I am neither a Nationalist nor an SNP supporter.
