Whilst I would agree that the story of the making of the film is far more interesting than the film itself, it's still ok.

Bears slightly more relation to the book than 'Oh Brother Where Art Thou?', but not much more.

And this was on not so long ago at the GFT. I loved the film the first time I saw it, but this time was slightly distracted by the scenery : Glasgow in all its seventies post-industrial but pre-demolition finery. Almost a social document. Apart from the 'Partick Thistle in the Premier League!' bit, obviously.

Agreed, that anything with Tom Cruise is utter pish.

Also Apocalypse Now is also well overrated.

I was unaware Bob Geldof had begun a movie career. Well, I suppose he must have a hidden talent somewhere.

So ya never seen Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' then...............?

Big Lebowski IS good! It's not meant to be taken too seriously!! Pi is also good, and the soundtrack is amazing! Finally saw the Deer Hunter for 1st time last year, and enjoyed it, tho I'm in no hurry to watch it again.

A great film is 'Amores Perres' by the guy that did 'Babel'. It's better, I thought. Agree with 'Glengarry Glenross' too, brilliant film! Also good is 'Copland' whith Sly Stallone actually acting, and doing it well!!

Not cheap though!;

Anyone know why it's this expensive? I'd have thought 'bargain bucket' material!

Edit to add;
