Optic Nerve - Dark World (dark city mental mix)

Quite emotional, and some painful strings.

WARNING!

Although this woman wouldn't know her key if you handed it to her, she has a knack of writing songs that embed themselves into your head - although it's akin to having scabies embedded under your skin. You have been warned!

Jan Terri

I think my friend Jack sums it up pretty well: http://www.submitresponse.co.uk/archives/jan_terri.php

8O Was she not over here for Europex? or am I thinking about Prisoner Cell Block H? Anywho, an ecclectic style with undertones of Elton meets Tiffany and overtones of the Royle Family meets Sesame Street. She wouldnae be out of place in the Old College Bar! ::):

This womans a genius... hows "Get Down Goblin" for a title!? Almost on a par with Whitney Houstons classic "Shavin Off Ma Muff For You" ::):

Oooh, nasty! A few people have remarked on that GG comparison. Maybe Jan Terri is her mother? Personally she reminds me of Edith Massey.
Musically i think she's akin to Mama Cass - if Mama Cass couldn't actually sing that is - with the instrumental beats of Debbie Deb.

Although not quite as diiiiiirty, my favourite musical mis-quote is still "It feels like gammon roll" by Kelly Marie. Go on... listen to it again. That woman is obsessed with rolls and ham. Bet you'll regularly find her doon at Henry Healy's. ::):

What do you think of the new album? I didn't buy it, just downloaded it a couple of weeks before it was out. Not a massive fan of it so far really.

Jimmy Webb

Postby Alex Glass » Sat Aug 12, 2006 11:40 pm

Was recently introduced to Jimmy Webb by my boss who is a big fan.

We went to see him last year in Oran Mor.

Currently going through all is material. A great songwriter of some classic tunes.
