Community Central Hall has been awarded funding through the Climate Challenge Fund to run a one year project, to reduce climate change by working with the community on issues relating to energy efficiency, food growing and food waste.

The post holder will carry out home energy checks and provide energy advice to individuals and groups from the local community. This will include facilitating energy awareness sessions including draft-proofing, distributing energy saving devices and running and energy monitor loan scheme.

The post holder will also be responsible for working with local residents to create community food growing space at a community garden site and in shared gardens. They will also promote composting and food waste reduction.

The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of the Maryhill Climate Challenge project including budget management, promotion of project and evaluation outcomes.
