It might have had its own name but everyone (who was anyone) called it "The Bonne Auberge."

It might have had its own name but everyone (who was anyone) avoided it like the plague.

The bar was called Harveys. It was a cocktail bar in the hotel above the Bon Auberge in Park Circus.

So as the cellar boy in the Beacons hotel in 1979 (owned by Maurice V. Taylor) I can tell you that there were 4 hotel bars in the venue, the Terrace Bar on the LHS as you walk into the Beacons, The Gun Room at the back next to the toilets, downstairs was La Bonne Auberge Wine Bar & Restaurant & Harvey's Studio 8 Cocktail Bar & Diner. Gatsby's was just along the road - owned by Brian Kirk

Lautrec's didn't open until 1982
