Pizza supper, oooo it's been a while. It'd give you a heart attack just thinking about it, mmmmmmm.

Pretty much every chippie will do this, if those interfering health do-gooders have put a stop to it I'll be most disappointed.

Coia's takeaway on the corner of George St and Buchanan St sells it. Enjoy your cardiac arrest.

I like Blue Lagoons pizzas, the one under central is quite good. Otherwise McPhees around from Sauchiehall St is a good un too

Guidos in Coustonholm Road if you are southside.

There's a chippie in Toryglen where you can have your deep fried pizza battered. It is then a Crispy Pizza.
While I was in the q the customer declined salt as 'it's bad for your heart'. I kid you not.

Shazbat, your story appeared in yesterday's Herald Diary word for word. Is your name Frank Murphy or Barry Mcdonald?

For batter or for worse BARRY McDONALD July 20 2009
It seems the healthy living message has finally sunk in, on the south side of Glasgow, at least. There's a Toryglen chip shop where, according to reader Frank Murphy, those of a strong disposition can opt to have their pizza dipped in batter before it's deep fried. Frank tells us: "One sou'sider who ordered this crispy pizza declined salt, arguing it was bad for your heart'." We're guessing he also ordered a Diet Coke to maintain his health drive.

Stan, you never told us if you tried the heart clench delights of the pizza supper?

'sake!! :o
I was thinking about writing a piece on a recent trip to Norway where I attended and spoke at a memorial service for those who were involved in the Namsos campaign in WW2.
Maybe I'll just post it here and then there's more chance of it being published.....
