Turban Tandoori is right next to Giffnock railway station car park but there's also the New Turban up at Eastwood Toll which I prefer.... and it has a fish tank too! Got to agree with the comments on the Royal India; smart place, quick & friendly service but I've often thought that the food could be doing with spicing up. A lot of the staff moved from there down to the New Turban about 5 years or so ago and I think they took their spice rack with them never to be replaced! :P

Have to have a wee look to there then since it's been recommended.

I went to The Viillge Curry House in Bellahouston Park yesterday for the Lunchtime Buffet. It was £5.99. It was total shite. Curry sauce like water chicken stewed tough with no flavour. Pakora not bad. Stay clear

Somebody asked on here if Balbir's Tiffin Room was open yet. I can't find the question but the answer is yes.

Not visited yet though so no field report.

Dakhin and Dhabba in Candleriggs are part of the same company, one South Indian, the other North Indian. The food in both is fantastic.

Dhabba and Dahkin are magic if your looking for tradional cuisine, the Dhabba being more to my taste. Koolba is first class though.

I love Dahkin, the food's great. Balbir's is another nice place.

Has anyone tried the Curry Leaf that recently opened on Byres Road?

Minars take away on Duke Street does the best Tandoori mixed grill i've had in a long while and the Wallace tandoori (ok Wallace is a funny name for a tandoori) in Balornock has some nice dishes.I recently had a trawl through the "curry mile" in Manchester and sampled some of the delights on offer.I'm not a fan of sitting in i'm more of a get the old loose pants on and spread out when im eating fan meself

I was at the Anarkali on Sunday night - food was great , but on Monday I was too scared to travel more than 100 yards from the bogs
