I still recommend the Horse Shoe of course to people who are going to Glesga!
I worked a while for Agnews wholesale to the "On sales" so got to visit a lot of free houses all over. That was almost 20 years ago, and even then I was astounded how many wee broon pubs there were.
DId smoking law kill a lot of them off? I am pretty glad to have a night out without ashtray clothes.
Off geography- a maukit wee boozer in Cupar with the best pub name I have ever been in " the drukket dug"! Still there or do we nae parlez wi' fifers?

(- Ah the liquid lunch .....once a week, before the Politically Correct Crowd did in for that with their bloody Perrier!)
I will however refrain from more than a 'hawf' when driving.

What hold could the politically correct crowd have over a man that they could force him to drink Perrier rather than Ushers. Of course it takes a hard man to drink a Benzene cocktail
