An apology to Darren and his g/f.

The new place in Buzzy's location is, in fact, calling itself Buzzy's.

I apologise for any friction caused.
I hear the people sing.

I need to nominate 'Bloc' on Bath Street (up at the top) - my mum had a brilliant chargrilled cheeseburger while myself and another veggie friend enjoyed a brilliant veggieburger. Their chips are like huge blocks (no pun intended) of roast tatties. Edible 'Jenga' bricks. Lovely.

I like Bloc. Decent place, and staff anytime I've been in.

Had an amazing burger on Wednesday not in Glasgow but just outside, in Cumbernauld.

The Craigmarloch Lodge, 16oz Aberdeen Angus burger with cheese, side plate with salad and chips. Burger cooked to absolute perfection, meat firm and juicy. Bun not produced on site I think but of exceptional quality too.

Thoroughly recommended.

That and a warm chicken salad and plate of chips for my Pop - £15. Bargainous.
I like him ... He says "Okie Dokie!"

For burger niceness & news http://jamesvsburger.com/

Congratulations to Buddy's BBQ & Burgers, who won the 2013 Glasgow Burger Off and were awarded first place by the panel of judges tonight.

2nd place went to MeatHammer Ltd at Nice N Sleazy and 3rd place went to Slouch.

The competition was very close and there were so many other standouts from the likes of Burger Meats Bun, Broadcast, Red Onion and many more. A great effort by all involved.

We now look forward to 'James vs. Burger's' own 'Best Burger in Glasgow' title being decided at the end of the year. Voting will open soon and we'll update with further info right here.

Having sampled a awesomely good Meathammer at Sleazy's, the Buddy's burgers must be special!

Keep your eyes open for Byron opening up in Glasgow one day (http://www.byronhamburgers.com)

They are mostly in London, but they are steadily creeping north - one opened in Manchester recently, so it's only a matter of time before they come north of the border. But I can tell you their burgers are absolutely lush - easily the best I've had. but if you are down sarf they are well worth a try - I always try and squeeze in a visit whenever I'm in the Big Smoke.

Of course if £7 for a gourmet burger is too much - I wish they'd bring the Wimpy bars back to Glasgow again!! (apologies to regular HG-ers for bringing this up again!)

I couldn't see if "Bottled Tinnints" was on the cold drinks section.... ::):

Come to think of it, Tinnints in a retro can with the picture of a burd on the side for the complete effect!
