The New Monaco. The signage made a brief reappearance during the final period before demolition.

When would the New Monaco Bar have closed. I passed it daily on my return from my school in Eastfield, Rutherglen on my way hoe to Springboig and can't ever remember it being open.

Two Pubs in Clydebank closed for allegedly by-passing their electricity meters

Anyone have any further info on this story? Culprits etc.

My initial thought was the Atlantis .. but given thats a Beattie house at the moment, I can't see him raising a flag.

The Chandlers maybe?

Well it's Glasgow - so where do you start?? Probably quicker to list the boozers that AREN'T dodgy....

Any watering hole on the Shettleston Road gets my vote, that comes through spending the first 30 years of my life there.... The Drum, The Marquis, Cottage Bar, Town Tavern - their "reputations" proceed them. Although the Kirk House on the crossroads with Killin St do great bar meals!
