Check out Opium on Hope St., excellent lunch and pre-theatre menu. Reasonable prices for town, great ingredients and great cooking. Superior Dim Sum better than Loon Fung, chef ex-Hakkasan. Best Chinese food I've had in ages.

Squirting off the M8 at Seaward St and choosing the Northern
Shields Road option leads to South Pollokshields.

We had a successful evening visit to Malaga Spanish Restaurant,
the catering was enjoyably different and well accomplished
for sure.

Located, in essence, just two doors East of the (former)
Honours Three on St.Andrews Dr, at the tee-junction from
Shields Road, it's a bit of a dusty through road but not
much parking restrictions thereabouts.

Lots of interesting choices in small or large dishes and
refreshingly positive staff pleased to explain hilos or
huevlos, and so and and so forth....

Their advert for a early week lunchtime deal under £6 for
three tapas is surely challenging any BK/McD deals
available?

Their neighbour is an Afhganistan Restaurant, so perhaps
another visit is due?

We dined at the Red Onion last week. The food was good but the service was appalling and verging on neglect. There really was no excuse as the restaurant wasn't even busy.

Went to Bunker on Bath Street last weekend.
They are doing a 2 for 1 pizza offer.
The food on offer is excellent and good value to.
The steak wrap is very good and the staff terrific.

Does anyone know if theres a Chinese buffet type restaurant on Albion st?

The former Hal's Coffee Bar (nextdoor to that renamed
awkward Korean place) is now Cailin Sushi.
Just two tables - but good for a pit stop or take away.
Not as expensive as it could be.
Mainly cold fiddly little rice & veg or rice & fish stuff but
hot chicken & beef skewers, etc. as well if you want to
chip in the 20% to those .....

Went to Anatolia last night and really enjoyed it. Booked through 5pm, so it was under £10 for two courses and a glass of wine. The starters were especially good, the freshly made bread was superb and the mains were tasty and substantial. Service was good though I could do without every member of staff asking if we were enjoying it.
Will be going back soon.
