Karisma Glasgow Indian restaurant review

Postby Sharon » Mon Dec 20, 2004 11:04 am

Ok, well the 17th of December saw us out for christmas dinner in the Karisma Indian Restaurant on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow.

It was considered that a good curry was in order as a change from normal christmas dinner.

What we didn't count on was the poor service, and I do mean POOR service. It took them the best part of an hour to take our order and in all that tme the only managed to take one drinks order successfully.

However slowness wasn't the only problem, no, what was particularly notable about the £330 bill being reduced to £180, a total of £150, was that just prior to asking for the bill I had been warned by a friend - who was coincidentally also eating with a group of people that night - to be sure to check the drinks bill when we got our bill, as they had also tried to overcharge his party to the curiously coincedatal tune of £150 ...

So anyone looking to eat out in an Indian restaurant in Glasgow be warned. The Karisma Indian Restaurant on Suchiehall Street is not the one for you!!

They were trying to pull the same stunt as we arrived for dinner!!.
There was a bloke making a vociferous complaint to the manager over his bill.

I had my resevations after witnessing this episode.

I'll be telling ten people to tell ten more to avoid this joint.

I'll be the lone voice of defence for the Karisma then shall I ?

The GOOD thing about the Karisma was.... uhmmm.... good ser... no... well, the meal was... nah, that's not a plus point either.

AH!!

At no point were we doused in petrol and set alight!!

So, if you want a curry house with a history of ZERO fatal incendiary incedents, then the Karisma is for you!!

If you want good service, a correct bill and a curry... Go elsewhere.

Here's my review:

"I would sooner disembowel myself with a rusty knife, and stick pins in my eyes, than let these c**ts cook a meal for me ever again. If I live for a million years, it will not be long enough a wait for them to come up with another round of drinks. Which they would charge a billion squillion pounds for. They are c0cks of the highest order who don't deserve to breathe the same air as me."

That covers it, don't you think?

Nah, that's another one I wrote for my own amusement. The one I wrote for the website was actually quite calm and measured.
