Hello,
My ancestor was Robert Christie, a witness in the Cotton Spinner Trials of 1838. Robert owned two public houses being one opened on Hosptial St, Glasgow, about 1835. He also closed his second one located at Hutcheson St, Glasgow, on 29 Jul 1837. I'm not 100% sure on the names, but I think one had been mentioned in the testimony of the trial.
How can I go about finding out what the names of the public houses were and the addresses? I'm a newbie from Canada.
Thank you if anyone can help.
Jessie
