Pubs/restaurants around St Enoch Sq. circa mid 1970's

Trying to to find the name of a pub/restaurant,St Enoch Sq,Fox St,Dixon St area in the mid 70's,I remember they would have a Spanish night at least once week,any help? cheers

Old Eagle sounds right. An old haunt of mine whilst at Strathclyde Uni. Sold Theakston's Old Peculiar!

Sorry it was not the Old Eagle,I used to drink in their as well,1973-75,it was more of an electricians get together,you could always get word of of new jobs,for being a wee pub,it had the best gantry in Glasgow,and apart fom the Bierkellar,it was the only pub to sell Lowenbrau and Holstein on draught,the pub I'm asking about was at the back of St Enoch Sq towards the Clyde St end, but thanks for replying, cheers

the only other one i can think of is the pub on the corner of howard st /dixon st.still there after many name changes,hootenanny i think now.i worked in clyde st late 70s but drank in morrisons then.

Can anyone say when Maitland’s became the Imperial Bar? The Post Office directory for 1973 still lists Maitland at 6 Howard St.
