Any of you guys recommend a good pub in the city centre?

Ideally one with either an upstairs or downstairs bar, or a wee private room with space for a dozen or so folk.

Currently the guys and I are meeting up in the Maltman, but some of the bar staff have started getting a bit snippy about photo ID for my mate David's son who turned 18 in July - even though he's here with his folks.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

Maybe city centre or somewhere near Botanic area.

I posted this before pandemic started but still happy to hear any suggestions as hope to be back over next year.
