More railway tunnels

As i stay in Anniesland i will try and take a couple myself if i get the time/remember :D , if not from track level then at least from the canal path showing the mouth of the tunnel, well what you can see of it with the trees in they way


Can you see this particular tunnel when your on the train as I can't recall it.

Nope i dont think so, the tunnel on the railscot site is one that runs from the Temple/Anniesland gasworks. parallel to the Forth & Clyde Canal, up towads Maryhill. Well if its the one im thinking of.

The new(ish now :)) Anniesland, Kelvindale line runs just on the other side of the gas tanks and goes under the canal to Kelvindale then on to Maryhill

Hi all. I am a new member to the HG forum. I am a semi - professional railway and freelance photographer and at the moment cannot get enough of the amount of railway history there is explore and non railway history within the city of Glasgow. Thought this gallery on my website may of some use to soem of you who are a member and interested in the old rialways and tunnels that are now disused and abandoned within Glasgow
