Isn't that veteran panto/clubland performer and serial Variety-show-in-the-80's botherer Christian?
Is he still working? He does seem to have gone the way of Chain Letters hosting, panto specialist Allan Stewart.

I've heard that he's "known" for spiriting away theatre's costumes that get made for him if he particularly likes them. And that he's a nice chap.

Hi Dubfreak. Thanks for the memory. The new year special you refer to was an early MTV broadcast, which as you say did not include ourselves. Th band have recently reformed and currently rehearsing for gigs this summer.
Check out http://www.myspace.com/passionatefriends for more information.

Ok, here ye go!!!!

First gig at the Apollo, Suzi Quatro, The Arrows and Cozy Powells Hammer 1975(?). Best gig at the Apollo would have to be the final 3 night run Stutus Quo`s live album, how the balcony survived fuck knows. Seen Roxy, Zappa, Stones, Eagles, Skynyrd and several more to mention at the Apollo. I used to do a bit of a walkabout every saturday night calling in at several pubs, all around Sauchiehall St ending in the Burn`s Howff where we would hit the upstairs for the band. Best band that comes to mind were called Underhand Jones, they had a sort of promotional thing going on with radio Clyde at one point. The singer Billy McCafferty was my neighbour. Also used to go to the Penthouse at the top of the Apollo and saw quite a few bands there, The Zones at Glasgow Art College.

I do believe John McCalman of Radio Clyde actually managed Underhand Jones. I don't want to cast aspersions on the band but I think John managed to plant a story in the local rags about the tapes for their first album/single being stolen from the back of a car. Possessing a copy of Jammy but Nice it's a pity the tapes were found.

Does anyone know where Postcard Records co-founder Alan Horne is these days?

Last I knew of him was he was living with Paul Quinn (of Bourgie Bourgie) fame...I believe the were "together". Not sure exactly where they were living though. He had at that time (3-4 years back) resurrected Postcard having released a few records on his post-Postcard Swamplands label. I used to call on the geezer that did the origination on Alan's artwork before it went to the printers. It was he who told me that Alan and Paul lived together. Given my customer was in EK it's a sure bet that Alan was still in Scotland somewhere.

Can anyone confirm if this is true ???

I read on another board about U2 playing at Barrowlands.

Bono claps his hands steadily & slowly & says every time I clap my hand (clap) a child dies in Africa.

From the back "Stop fucking doing it then ! "

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease tell me it's true !!!!

And on a slightly more somber note. Where is alex Harvey buried?
Not intending any midnight devil deals, just a respectfull visit.

Regarding Vambo's burial place, according to the website Findagrave.com, he was cremated, the location of ashes is unknown.
