Ever notice that the south side of Argyle St. comes under "St. Enoch" & the north side comes under "City Centre"
I wonder if the rates are the same.

My Dad used to work for the 'Corporation' and he told me about all these measures on the City Chambers and on George Square. There were brass lines in the ground near the benches in George Square at the City Chambers end, which could be used to check the accuracy of rules/tapes etc. Have they gone now we have 'Red Square'? Should I 'Ask Alex'? Or maybe I'll just get off my butt and have a look next time I'm in the city

Yeah, they should paint white lines on the ground now so the tanks and troops know where to march/drive during the May Day parade! ::):

Recently uncovered during construction work in Bridlington (and no doubt soon to be obliterated)

I'm sure there was a thread about signs still baring the old 041 prefix, but I can't find it. Anyway, here's one on the old Subway building in Scotland Street.

Was that created from the remnants of the steamie when they built the new flats?

I used to live round the corner from there and have never seen that before
