My Dad used to work for the 'Corporation' and he told me about all these measures on the City Chambers and on George Square. There were brass lines in the ground near the benches in George Square at the City Chambers end, which could be used to check the accuracy of rules/tapes etc. Have they gone now we have 'Red Square'? Should I 'Ask Alex'? Or maybe I'll just get off my butt and have a look next time I'm in the city

Yeah, they should paint white lines on the ground now so the tanks and troops know where to march/drive during the May Day parade!
