Hey guys,

This thread is fascinating :) I have been a lurker on it for quite a while :) I have been fascinated in the bombings over Clydeside since I was a kid (a 46 year old kid now ;))to my grandparents and family retelling their stories. I moved back to Scotland from the US a few years ago and decided to do a masters degree in Conflict Archaeology focusing on HAA battery defenses on the Clyde. Just started a PhD at the University of Glasgow on the attacks on Clydeside. Anyone still interested in this kind of thing on here (i know its being going for years) give me a shout on here or email at [email protected]

Hi Marc1888, I am sure there are plenty of occasional visitors here, and I certainly am, who would be interested in your research. What a subject for a Masters & PhD! Are you aware of the Youtube metal detector who regularly finds AA shell fagments along the Clyde coast?

Hi folks. Long time reader first time poster. Anyway I haven't been through this whole topic (although I will) so not sure if this has been posted. But regarding the JU88 that crashed near Lennoxtown here's a handy wee link. https://www.peakdistrictaircrashes.co.u ... ennoxtown/.
Cheers!
