D'ye mean these things? (sorry about the wonky focus, had the camera in the wrang mode!)

I cannae say for sure, but they must be something to do with the low-level railway line from Central to Anderson as it runs right along there.
Air vents or exhausts? Anybody know for sure?

The building on the other side of the road is the MOD building,,mmmmmm

:D I like yer thinking, but they are in too poor a state of repair to be anything to do with the MOD, more fitting with SPTE budgets of security (some HERAS fencing!).

The roofs are falling away from them, and I'm sure the fences are only there to stop people falling in. If I remember right they were only fenced off in the last couple of years.

Those two pigeons in the second photo look a touch suspicious, methinks.

I know there is underground carparking for the high rise flats directly beneath these, i stayed in the flats for a brief period in the eighties...it was well scary ..looking for business mate...this was when it was the bus station and it was full of ladies of the night...bad memories..

when the anderson centre was open, there was a service tunnell that ran alongside it, a bit of it is still used I think for traffic use, it is most probably just a vent for that, i could be wrong, and those pigeons is that those special undercover ones the MOD have?

Haven't seen it, but I'd hazard a guess that it's some sort of access to
the new foundations. No doubt they'll be keeping a much closer eye on
that eyesore of a bridge now than they did until the Daily Record's God-awful
fake 'the Kingston Bridge is falling down' picture in 1990 exposed the
bridge's failings.
