This is the old Gobal Video Shop at the eastern end of Shettleston Road near Academy Street.

I have a photo of the row of shops that I will post up when I get more time.

Well well, i never thought i'd see this shop on here, that shop was a Carvil and Acari Video shop during the early 80's and then was taken over by Video Vision about 82/83 which was part of my group then taken over by Global early 90's we also had the other Video Vision at the other end of shetelston rd beside the church.

Brings back a lot of memories, Thanks for that Fosil. :D

Any boxes of 45s in the garage, the loft, the cellar?

We used to have loads in the loft when I was little, but they all got given to charity shops when my mother moved to a smaller house :(

There was quite a lot of rubbish to be quite honest, although I think my father rescued some classics and has them with him in London. I might badger him for photographs of the inside of the shop next time I see him. I believe the unit is now a Hayes store (and has been since Discus shut down - apparently due to being outpriced by Woolworths along the road.)
