Some good looking pictures on there Ronnie. I think I'll have to have a wee look through the photo albums and see what I can come up with.

I got most of the targets in my current project found at the weekend and have posted them on Flickr.
My idea was to track down the locations used in Comfort and joy and use the screen grabs as my past pictures.
Here are a few with the rest posted here;

Thanks for those Dave.

I think we are all going to have to get as creative for our source photos - I visited the Virtual M****** today and all the photos I looked at had a big crude effoff VM stamp accross the centre. Ah well :cry:

Can you tell me exactly where Langfaulds Primary School was ? I started in a St Sixtus annexe at the Linkwood Drive end of Ledmore Drive and also went to another annexe between Ledmore Drive and Airgold Drive roughly in the middle of both streets and opposite Camus Place School.

I vaguely remember the buildings opposite this small annexe being a school, too !

Can you enlighten me ?

Tombro :?

Hey Tombro

My school was on Ledmore Drive, number 56. You can get a great streetview of it on Google maps.

:)

Synchro,

Just had a quick squizz and I'm sure that school has been built on what was a vacant area in my time in 'theDrum'.

At the Camus Place end was the annexe of St Sixtus School I attended in the year before I left for Australia and at the Linkwood Drive ende (directly opposite Ardhu Place) was Airgold Place. The tenement I lived in, 17 Airgold Drive, was the first on the right as you went along Airgold Drive towards Linkwood Drive.

The Ledmore Drive Annexe that I started school at in 1956 was on the right hand side going towards Linkwood Drive, roughly where Harrow Place is.

Thanks, Synchro, for filling in just another wee bit in my search for my Drumchapel roots !

Cheers mate, Tombro :)

Spot on, HH!! There's just so much character in that "past" pic that it so sadly lacking in the "present". Suppose that's the way of it,though.
