Iknow. 60 posts and it's feels like that's the first semi-productive one i've done instead of just post-whoring

Don't forget PK words can paint better pictures sometimes.

Photos need to be discussed so that you get other people's interpretation of what they see. So don't worry about not posting photos lots of people on here contribute in other ways.

Now contrast that with the one on Albert Bridge, with apologies for poor quality phone pic.

Alex, can we get this on the list of things that require painting please?

Why do most of them have the knights helmet, yet my book has a crown? Any particular reason or just the artists fancy?

The crown version is the Glasgow District Council type, the helmet version was the earlier one for the corporation, and before.

The old version. Permission to use this design was granted in 1866, but of course the elements are much older.

The newer style, and the deed announcing it's use in 1975.

The old version is better :)

Monument already on this one. Crusty was asking about it before. Have spoken with a couple of people and will keep pushing to have this repainted.

Might have been done before but it is too late in the evening to search through 13 pages of posts. Sorry.

I love the detail of the stonework.

This is the front of St. Andrews. There is a great little bar in the basement and I think we should do one of the HG drinks nights there. I will post more pics later.
