I actually prefer the Present photo of the Ca 'D'Oro in your third pair.

I'll mark that up as the third improvement. In 53 pages.

Nice one PPM - one street where first floor and above view has barely changed over the years.

I love the Christmas lights in the 75 picture of Gordon Street. That's when Glasgow actually made an effort for Christmas. I remember getting taken to Peter Lord for shoes by my mum when I was young. :)

I have just completed another past present project and thought you might like to see the results.

This time the past source was a collection of pictures of the 1901 international exhibition by Thomas S Boyd found on Flickr.

I contacted the copyright holder who granted me the permission to use the pictures so I have been out today to gather the present pictures.

Some of them are posted here and the rest can be found here;

Fantastic, thanks for that. I knew there were buildings there before that are no more, but hard to believe the extent! It's a shame some were never kept.

BT, where you say the entrance was on University Avenue, is the present photo not of Kelvin Way, have I misread this?

Ah, thanks for pointing this out. The entrance is now Kelvin way, not unversity ave. I somehow got the street names mixed up.

Will now go and fix flickr.

Flyman, have you any other pictures of the Pinkston demolition? If so can you post them on the Glasgow power station thread and do you have an exact date for the demolition? Thanks
