You had a better day than I did Squigster and a better camera.

Some view from the car park.

Better day - yes

Better camera - I doubt it

Mind you, i think we must have been standing in virtually the same spot

It is a lovely place. I will post more photos of some of the buildings on the walk up and down from the castle.

It does look like we were standing on the came spot and your photo of the Wallace Monument is a lot clearer that mine which looks like one of the first colour photos. I was going to crop it for effect but liked the whole picture too much.

Alex, is just shows how two pictures of the same view can be pictured in a multitude of ways - Depending on your personal preference.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

That would make a good topic. Getting as many people as possible to take a photo from the same place to see the way in which the photographer captures the view and how the camera works.

The view from the castle to the Wallace Monument would be a great subject for that. It would also be good to hear what others think of the multiple photos. I am sure each person would see something of interest as well.

It is so easy to get to Stirling. We took the train rather than the car. It only took 40min and cost about £12 return.

There are so many great views as well. I was going to take some photos on the shopping centre and main street but the weather was so bad.

I was in Stirling Castle for the first time a couple of weeks ago, but it was too dark outside to take photos. Thanks to Alex and Squigster for taking the photos that I would have liked to have done. And much better ones, too.

Thank you Josef

I have a few more and will post them up over the next couple of days. There is a recurring theme.

The rain. It was heavy most of the time.

I can't take all the credit Tobester, Squigster came up with it first. I just took it a bit further.

So when should we start?

I know! Silly, isn't it, but I hate the rain. Much prefer the cold/frost.

We have been spoilt this year with it being so mild for so long.
