our place is in central portugal, nearest town to us is Tomar (unesco world heritage site) hq of the templars for europe. etc. lovely place lots of history.castelo do bode lake is 2 mins from our place(biggest lake in portugal)
property here is very affordable. ruins, old farmhouses etc start from £10,000 for a wreck to restore.

My God, you're getting nearer (nice spot!)
So, this means that in the Abrantes municipality there are scottish folks! It is fair! There also at least an Abrantes municipality folk in Scotland (there were at least two, but sadly he died in a car crash)

Just a little update on our old house, only partway through the work, hopefully finished in the summer.

I take it that, as you're a long term HG member, there will be substantial discounts for any of the rest of us wishing a short break?

Excellent work on the project incidentally. As Sharon says, it looks splendid.
