My grandfather, Ambrose George, was sent by the War Office around the start of WW2 from the Woolwich Arsenal in London to convert the old biscuit factory? into an ordnance factory where he remained throughout the War. He was later transferred to ROF Patricroft in Manchester. I’m currently researching his life and I’m interested in any information you may have on the factory during the War years.
