That beautiful building being left in that state is a terrible shame.....look at the beautiful stonework.....

How come the little bit of it left can't be saved and used to help restore it to its former glory?

Can the remains be bought?

The place is practically destryed, no? Looks that way when I pass by. In fact it looks worse everytime I pass by.

There would be hardly any point. Like I said the place looks worse everytime I pass by, there's probably little left to save, and likely nothing structurally safe. Could, mind you, probably save some of the stone work and incorporate it into something else.

But I doubt that'll happen. Glad I actually know now what it was. Shame.

I live five mins walk from that pile of sorry looking stones, I had a few beers in there when it was the "Cotton Club" I also had a Guinness or two in that "Outbuilding" when it was an extension of the "Institute". I too pass that beautiful ruin every day, thankfully, It's part of my street, my history.

As stated in the history it used to be the Social Club of my current employer. The wee outbuilding at the back used to be used as the Ciba-Giegy car club.

I too remember a few 'swift hawfs' in it laterally when I think it was called 'The Shack'.
