New streaming webcam

Postby Apollo » Thu May 05, 2005 7:24 pm

Found this today:

http://www.nlb.org.uk/mullofgallwebcam.htm

Web camera installed at Mull of Galloway lighthouse on 1st April 2005. This camera has been funded by the European Region Development Fund. This is an innovative project involving a web camera, a radio link and satellite broadband access to the world wide web.

Proper streaming too, I hadn't expected to see the camera pan, tilt and zoom as I selected from the presets.

very nice. There should be more webcams like this about. The one in George Square should do that. Zooming in on the grass on hot days.

Apollo, that's a good cam. Like ones that update quickly. There's
a cam in France, that overlooks a busy road, which is still the
fastest I've ever seen. When I find the
bookmark will upload it here :) Think it was one of those
Axis 2120 network beasts, very fast.

In the meantime, keep an eye on the builder bob in
Alaska. Chews too much bandwidth this end, but hey
it's fast.

I think this is a wasted position for a good Axis camera.
[Broadband connection essential]

and for those that might wish to see some car parking rage.

One in Germany, watch for people waving. Looks like a bar
or diner on the roof.

Look out for the Swedish Chavs.

When I move through to Dundee, you can take pictures of me looking like a suspicious PO van! Or something... :?
