Its all in there, cars, engines, boats, planes, past and present comparisons, animals, bad fashion.

All I can say is that I wasted hours and hours looking through it all.

I spend as much time as I can in the Southern States driving the County roads and believe me there are some exceptional sights to see. I once came across a wrecking yard (scrapyard to us) in Georgia, fairly near Savannah that only dismantled old fire trucks - I was in fireman heaven!

Let me have a punt at that off the top of my head... REO, as in speed wagon, whence the name of the band and founded by the same guy who gave his name to Oldsmobile (recently defunct GM brand and manufacturer of the moonbuggy, no less...)

Just spent the last 3 nights looking through this thread and still only on page 185. I think this will take me until 2015 to get through.

Wonderful..... I want to live there.

I am hooked to the thread and so fay have reached page 950.

Great pics and awesomely alike

The last one of the Brooklyn bridge reminded me of the story my mum (who lived in NY) told me about the night she and a few hundred others had to walk across it due to a massive power blackout in 1965.

great posts and pictures, love em all. good to see posts like this away from Scotland for a wee change. I would like to hear more stories of what folks get up to though
