Sure was, I tracked down locations from Ghostbusters, Superman, Crocodile Dundee, Breakfast at Tiffanys and a few more with a set to follow.

Cheers johnboy, glad you like the pics, I really enjoyed the city and it was a lot cleaner and safer feeling than I expected.

Love the Chrysler Building night-time image - and what is with American fire departments they build fire houses that you couldn'y swing a cat in? ::):

(Disclaimer - no cats were harmed in the writing of this post!)

Excellent stuff there, BTJ.

Nice pics : ) Bringing back fond memories for me. Did you pay a visit to Grimaldi's, by any chance? Best pizza in the five boroughs.

Thanks everybody, glad you like them and I am getting through the movie then and nows very slowly but they wont be too long.

Didnt make it to Grimaldi's Jodie, think I spent the whole week with my body clock at teh wrong time so we were having big lunches wherever we ended up rather than saving ourselfs for a posh dinner.

Know what you mean about the firestations. We watched a fireenging back into a firestation and I would swear that if it had 5psi more in the tyres it would have colided with the top of the door.

You should have seen us trying to back in an AEC into the old North Fire Station in St Georges Rd - we had a standing order with the local car accessory shop to stock Ford Red and Plastic Padding! ::):
