Lake Tekapo in NZ southern Alps. The waters are turquoise in colour caused by glacier action grinding sandy stone whish produces a flour like substance that creates the effect.
The skies here are so light polution free that there is an observatory nearby. At night all of the stars in the Southern hemisphere can be clearly seen.

Brilliant photographs. Such clarity of atmosphere. One for the "ship heads" amongst us regarding the TSS Earnshaw.
