I met an old Glasgow busker 3 years ago in Ayr,I'm sure his name was Jimmy Sherry.He played the accordian in Buchanan st for about 20 years.He wore a tartan shirt ,flat cap and had a big happy red face. He told me he had been in the Paras and fought on D Day.he was retired now and living in a carava...

Its at the junction of Cathcart Road and Aikenhead road,I agree it is a docot but not in use(there used to be at least a dozen Pidgon lofts there in the 80's)The building next to it is the commuinty centre. Just out of picture was the Herrmon Baptist Church,now knocked down,cant remember the Glasgow...

Jerry is a shawlands lad,I know a couple of guys that went to school with him and gave him regular beatings.Guess his humor won't appeal to everyone.

Glasgows fine first citizens the Lord Provosts, used to have a twin set of lamp lights outside there homes With the coat of arms on.I know of a few locations round the city were these can be seen.They dont look out of place in Pollokshields or the west end,I dont think that the most recent lord and ...
