Re: Aggressive Begging in Glasgow City Centre. Getting worse

Real men don't call the cops.

Master Sinclair was simply outnumbered, and doubtless sought refuge in McChuill's with the intention of rustling up a posse.

Re: Glasgow’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I am old enough to recall The Bungalow as a venue. When I was at Sounds.... My mate, who went by the nom de plume Harry Longabaugh, was the local correspondent for Sounds during that era. I accompanied him to gigs and interviews to take photos, and the following shots of Paisley band Defiant Pose w...

Imagine going out to the van in the '70s and asking for a packet of Squirrel Nut Zippers and a Chelsea Whopper.

Re: Films set in Glasgow, without squalor, neds, or gangster

Cheers Dexter.

i think your movie is 'You're Only Young Twice', though the IMDb reviewer refers to a the acting debut of Ronnie Corbett, with no mention of Andy Stewart:-

Hendrix/Floyd/Move etc. package tour, Green's Playhouse, 5th December 1967: it seems that Noel Redding was less than impressed with Glasgow:-

Yes, and ironically the shop that's there now also sells electronic gear, albeit second-hand stuff that folk have had to hock.

They also had a store at the corner of Ingram St. and Miller St. (now Cruise).
