need to do more of this. highest rooftop i've been on is an office block on Sauchiehall Street, as well as one beside the Kingston Bridge. and also climbed to the top of some scaffolding outside my halls of residence one night - don't think I was even drunk at the time. this must have been during my...

sharon, you're maybe worth giving JC Decaux or someone else a quick call. I suspect you could hire one for a couple of weeks on a not-too prominent site for a reasonable fee. They're priced on size (number of sheets), obviously, with a few standard sizes. Can't remember the details, but it's like 14...

yeah, for some reason i thought there was an access tunnel for ambulances and fire engines, in the event of an emergency in the road tunnel. maybe i'm thinking of the channel tunnel! it seems to me that the two road tunnels are far enough apart that this wouldn't be impossible. where abouts would yo...

gyres photo

I remember there were a few "not so nice" comments about them sprayed on walls around the west end. I think one was along the lines of "My mother says kill the Gyres". It was taken seriously enough to be reported in the Scottish Sun. I always assumed it was a bit of self-promotion, but i recently f...

tunnels

there's lots of entertaining graffiti in both pedestrian tunnels, if you like that kind of thing. i'll try and find a source about this 3rd tunnel... also, i wonder if anyone (graeme?) knows much about this tunnel in edinburgh: http://www.ednet.co.uk/~mctavish/tunnel.html I've not seen the entrance ...

clyde tunnel

getting serious for a minute though.... isn't there a 3rd tunnel in the middle, for emergency access (ambulances and the like)? and all those little doors and gates visible in the pedestrian tunnels look interesting.

ruchill

What about organisng something like a walk around the grounds and buildings of Ruchill Hospital.? good luck... i suppose if it was organised properly, you might be able to get access. however, an unofficial visit was pretty disappointing - difficult entry on to the site, and nearly all the building...

No idea if you can get into the entrance under Kelvin Hall. If you can it's likely to be semi-permantly sealed where the new section burrows in. You could walk in through the new section, but be warned - it's a new single track concrete tunnel and I doubt they bothered to build in hide holes like y...
